Originally designed in 1958 by Børge Mogensen, the BM0488L Table Bench and the smaller BM0488S version are reintroduced by Carl Hansen & Søn as part of Mogensen’s “building furniture concept.” The BM0488L represents the larger version of the design, while the BM0488S offers a more compact format. Both pieces reflect Mogensen’s philosophy of creating functional, durable furniture that can adapt to changing needs and living spaces. Crafted from solid oak heartwood with precise cabinetry joints, rounded edges and a double-woven wicker seat, the benches combine strength with an elegant and understated expression. They can be used together or as standalone pieces, serving as a bench in an entrance hall, at the end of a bed, or as a coffee, side or bedside table in a living or dining space.
